Abstract: The aim of the paper is to present a system conceived to solve the Constraints Satisfaction Problem (CSP) with a distributed calculus environment developed on the Jade platform. Based on the formalism of CSP problem a distributed algorithm was written and programmed. The agents modelling the variables of the CSP were implemented by the JADE system (FIPA compliant).

Abstract. This paper presents some of distributed informatics applications in order to aid the teaching activy in the Stefan cel Mare" Universiy of Suceava. The first application is the University Database Library Search, available on Internet. This application makes an information link with the VUBIS Database Management System used by the University Library in its local computer network. The second application concerns the supervising of the students’ participation to the practical work. A link between this application and the video surveillance system is also described. The third application assure a database building and availability on Internet for the students’ and techers’ schedule.

NOI TENDINTE PRIVIND ASPECTELE MODERNE IN SISTEMELE DE TIP SCADA. KHAOSTRIPPER

Abstract: This article it has become obvious nowadays that there is a strong need for automating industrial processes. The automation of various processes has now passed the phase defined by a standalone, isolated operation of various devices, without the actual possibility of centralizing the parameters that defined the monitored processes. Managers begin to feel the need for integrating miscellaneous production parameters within economic applications like ERPs, in order to get real time production costs. Our proposal, outlined in this article, aims to help to cut down implementation costs for automation systems. Thus, time and money are spared when implementing new solutions. Total costs are also minimized, including personnel training, and the time needed for the implementation and integration of the solution is also reduced.
               KhaoStripper cuts down costs in the following three ways:
                          - no programming or scripting is required, so personnel training costs are dramatically decreased;
                        - linking all equipment together in a centralized system will reduce "dead times" (intervals of time when devices are not operational);
                          - the OPC (OLE for Process Control) servers & clients facilitate interconnectivity with other devices.

Abstract: This article aims to present the implementation of a system targeted for wide-area data monitoring and acquisition, a system that also has built-in support for historical data processing and alarms/events. An overview of the project will be sketched, outlining the various modules that are part of it and the role they play within the global architecture. A few data structures implementations will be discussed, together with the ways in which they are used for communication purposes. A few words about the routing options considered by us were also included.

Abstract: This article due to the constantly increasing level of automation used today in various manufacturing processes, the engineers involved are confronted almost every day with large amounts of data. Historical data represents a valuable source of information which has to be distributed to end-users and software clients interested in it. Currently, most of the historical software engines available use their own interfaces for data (re)distriubution, because it is more and more difficult to use other methods in a plug-and-play environment. The aim of standardizing historical data access is to allow various clients to have access to historical data, regardless of their manufacturer or their inner implementation, as long as they use the same standardized interface for communication.

Abstract:There is a lot of research in the area of load balancing at any level in distributed systems. Unfortunately most models take into account homogenous clusters. This approach makes the station and communication model more simple, so the area of possible proposed algorithms for load balancing is increased and sometimes their simplicity. The latest Internet technology development drives to the necessity that the cluster must be dynamic and also heterogeneous. In this paper a simulator for a heterogeneous cluster used in distributed computing is presented.

Abstract. The paper presents the concepts used to develop an informatical system for the land register database taking into account the interconnections among the other permanent registers such as: Population, Economic and Social Agent, Comunities. There are presented some theoretical aspects referring to the data distribution, data distribution and processing in the land register field, various variants of land register allocation fragments, as well as solution for permanent register databases interconnection under SGBD Oracle.

Abstract: The system shown here is concieved as a useful instrument in the study of different algorithms for capturing, processing and visualizing images. At the same time the system is able to create an interface with the electronic microscopes, both at the level of the acquisition of images and of the command to move the focal plan. The processing takes the shape of a script, bearing the possibility of the repetition of certain processing sequences.

Abstract: The surveillance system installed in the software engineering laboratories use a large amount of hard disk space to store as files the recorded digitised images. In order to minimise the disk space a special indexing software component was designed This component analyse the images files, detects the moving targets in th frames, and store the significatives frames wih time stamping. The system accepts various images source, and produces results available on Intranet.

Cached Sufficient Statistics for Machine Learning with Large Datasets

Abstract: This paper present algorithms and data structures for quick retrieval only statistics needed for machine learning from large datasets. We focus on constructing knowledge datasets by extract only data that match conjunctive queries. Subject to certain assumptions, the cost of these operations can be shown to be independent of the number of records in the knowledge dataset.
This method can be used in rule learning algorithms, Bayes net learning and we provide an empirical result comparing to classical direct approaches.

Abstract. The design and implementation of a MNN (Multilayer Neural Network) infers the solving of a captious problem:the determination of the optimum number of hidden layers. The paper propose the grouping (depending on certain similarities) of the input patterns into groups. The number of these groups shall represent the optimum number of hidden layers in a backpropagation MNN with supervised learning.

UTILIZAREA RETELELOR NEURALE DE TIP B-SPLINE SI RBF PENTRU INTERPOLARE MULTIDIMENSIONALA

Abstract. This paper presents the importance of using B-spline and RBF neural network for multi-dimensional interpolation. Radial basis functions are a natural generalisation of univariate polynomial splines to the multivariate setting. They are very attractive objects to use for multivariate fitting since: the corresponding interpolation problems are uniquely solvable under very weak conditions on the nodes. In particular, when the nodes do not lie on a regular grid; the resulting interpolates can be characterised as smoothest interpolations; radial basis functions also arise naturally in non-parametric statistical fitting via generalised cross validation.

Abstract : The aim of this paper is to present a framework for the design and the developing of secure applications software. It is consider the transmission security from the software designer and production manager which is responsible to the implementation of concerned software. By implementing of various security procedures and algorithms the designed framework represents a valuable tool for monitoring and control the writing operations for memories type like ADUC8XX (ADUC 812) and ATMEGA103L/128. The software framework may be easily developed for others types of microcontrollers memories by adding dedicated drivers.

Abstract. The algorithm presents a method of optimizations of the algorithm for the cover of plane surfaces without restrictions, with rectangular shapes. The method proves its efficiency in situations in witch the type and the number of forms is big. The comparative study with one of the similar products reveals this advantage of the method.

REALIZAREA UNUI PROTOCOL DE COMUNICATIE INTRE PC SI UN FPGA

Abstract . FPGA's can be programmed to implement almost any digital circuit beginning with the most simple ones like counters up to new microcontrollers and processors. You can implement a hole standalone microcomputer with one or more CPU's and all I/O standard controllers in the same FPGA chip. But from Verilog (or VHDL) source to a complete working system it is a long way that is passing through a lot of testing. You can make a CPU for example and when testing, nothing is working like you expected. So it is a good idea to find a solution to debug your processor or anything you are doing with the FPGA. There are two solutions for this problem: to use an expansion board with 7-segment displays and push buttons or to create a communication protocol with the PC using the I/O's of the FPGA.
