BOGArT, the Body Gesture Analysis Toolkit

BOGArT is a software application for computing human-readable measures for whole-body gestures, constituting a set of 17 specific measures centered on the practitioners' rather the machine's perspective by employing commonly-understood concepts of space and time. Our measures describe (1) spatial characteristics of body movement, (2) kinematic performance, and (3) body posture appearance for whole-body gestures, respectively; see Vatavu (2017) for details.

Resources

We release BOGArT to foster further studies and developments on whole-body gesture interaction. Our C# code is freely available to download and use for research purposes under this license . The archive also contains a sample of whole-body gestures collected from two participants; see our follow-up publication (Vatavu, 2019) for details and the full dataset. If you find this code useful in your own work, please let us know. If you use our code in scientific publications, please reference the papers that introduced these resources.
