The Programme
The Management Trainee Programme at British American Tobacco is specially designed for independent and motivated thinkers who love learning and taking on new challenges and responsibilities – people who want to stand out in the corporate world, on their own terms.
During the 2-year rotational programme, you will have the opportunity to work in different departments within the reference functional area and you may also have an opportunity of an international experience, to expose you to the way of working in a global environment abroad.
At the end you will be in a position to take on a Junior Management role and carry on your career path. A Senior Management Position within 7 years is not out of the question.
We have opportunities across Western and Eastern Europe in the following areas:
Operations
The Operations function spans a number of key functions such as Leaf, Plan, Logistics, Product Innovation, Make, Procurement and Service. Each function is critical in ensuring that our product can be made and distributed to our customers.
Candidates to have:
• A Masters degree ideally gained within Supply Chain/Logistics/Engineering/Procurement/Business
• Strong business awareness (with an interest in Agriculture for the Global Leaf roles)
• Well established Interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and adaptability
Business Services - IT
Within IT you will gain an insight from all of the IT 3 sub-functions, working in Western Europe IT. In IT Demand, you will have exposure to the relation with business, understand business strategy and the way we support it through IT projects and services. In IT Delivery you will see how the business requirements are implemented and deployed into business as usual. And in IT Services you will understand how we support the business on a daily basis, through our service lines.
Candidates to have:
• Bachelors/Masters in Business with Information Technology / Information Systems
• A strong Commercial and Business acumen is a must
• Strong IT skills
