The
technological/scientifically impact: the contribution of the project in
national researches, the actuality and complexity of proposed
solution, in relation with investment (the characteristics of the
developed equipment/laboratory).
With the help of a
powerful cluster, the partners will be able to collaborate at a high
level of performance in grid. The resulted infrastructure will sustain
the researches and experimentation activities from the north of the
country (Suceava and Botosani departments).
Regarding the
contribution of the project in the context of national researches, the
proposed GRID will offer the possibility of real development and testing
of applications developed by University
of Suceava and its partners from
others projects (Technical University "Gh. Asachi" Iasi, University "Al. I. Cuza" Iasi, University "Politehnica" - Bucharest).
We agreed that the
grid will be interconnected with the grid of Technical
University "Gh.
Asachi" Iasi and with the grid of
University "Politehnica" - Bucharest.
The grid of Technical University
"Gh. Asachi" Iasi
is developed in the project CEEX "Academical grid for complex
applications".
This project has important partners from Iasi
like: University "Al. I. Cuza" Iasi,
University of Medicine and Pharmacology Gr.T.Popa" Iaši, University
of Agricultural Sciences and
Veterinary Medicine Ion Ionescu de la Brad" Iaši, Institut of Theoretic Information Iasi.
The
economical/social impact, opportunities for ST services, for
socio-economical regional development, as an effect of the investments in
the R&D infrastructure, the role of science in society, etc
The proposed grid
will eliminate digital separation and will allow the achievement of
important researches for overall scientific and economic in the north
region. The beneficiaries will be the R&D units and higher education
institutions.
The connection with
IT equipment of State University from Cernauti, Ukraine,
will develop the regional partnership.
The proposed project
will generate competitive potential for European projects because
it will offer a powerful research tool, a modern Grid, and the University of Suceava will become an important
partner in other projects by having this Grid that interest also the
European partners.
The impact on the
environmental quality and the preservation of natural resources, health,
etc
The grid network will
allow high performance computing regarding some actual but difficult
problems like environment quality and natural resources conservations in
the north region of the country. University

be able to make researches and models regarding public health.
